Hi 4mula1- I've owned both the X-S1 and the FZ-150- and although the manual zoom of the X-S1 is favourable for stills (but not video)- the X-S1 just didn't capture enough fine detail for me, so I would suggest your initial impression was right.
Factor in an image stabiliser which is not the best and an autofocus which is less than consistent- and certainly not the quickest- and you can see why I prefer my FZ-150.
I've no doubt that the FZ-200 will prove even more impressive.....
