I want to make scenery for a flight simulator (ClearView). The panorama needs to be 360x180 or equirectangular in either a 2:1 aspect ratio or 8160:3060 format. I am new to panoramas, so non of this is familiar to me.
I would receiving recommendations on software that can produce this type of pano. At this point, I don't want to spend too much for the software...... Any guidance will be much appreciated. Pete |

I recomend Panorama Tools with any of the graphic front ends - PTGui and PTAssembler are shareware, well supported, and reasonably prices. Hugin is free and might not be the best one to start with. PTMac exists for the Mac, but that is all I know about it.
I strongly suggest starting by just stitching two images together and then a horizontal. single row pano before going for the whole 360x180. http://www.johnhpanos.com/ has some very good tutorials and links. |
