Default Pano File Size for Posting on Website?

Hi,

I have several panos that I would like to post on PBase. These are 10-shot jobs done in Panorama Tools, shot with a Canon d60. They are 24MB in the 8-bit TIF files, and range from 3:1 to 6:1 in proportions.

In my downsizing, what should I go for, to get good reproduction that is big enough to show the detail at close to original size?

Hi Walter, I recommend a resolution resize (the panorama should not be higher than 450 pixel) so that users with different resolutions could see the pano without up and down scrolling.
Saving the pano as a jpg gives you the opportunity to set a compression level. Play a bit with the compression and you will easily get a picture, that is good for publishing on the web.

Greetings, Stefan

Thank you for the suggestion, Stefan.

I also visited your panorama web site, and you did some very nice work!
