There are a lot of settings that are not well documented. Before you load any images go to Edit>Options>Output size and set it either by width, height or %age. I usually use 100%. You can also adjust the jpeg quality from the default of 75 to say 90.
Haven't worked out the other settings so I leave them at default. Have fun

Question: If you are aiming for "maximum quality", why wouldn't you set your jpeg quality to 100%? Isn't 100% "maximum"?

Sorry, I'm not trying to sound obtuse here.

All jpegs are compressed and the difference between 90% and 100% is an increase in the size of the file but no noticeable increase in quality, but saving 100% jpegs is OK too.
