Hello,

I use the nikon D50 camara and Sigma 8 mm fisheye lense to take 4 pictures. The 4 pictures are here.

And when I use the PanoTools to Stitching the 4 pictures, I get the result like this.

At the top and bottom, there are two black area.

I've try all I can to avoid this , But it just destn't work.

Am I do something wrong?

Any suggestion is appreciate.

Thanks.

There is nothing wrong with having the black areas - just crop them off. You can get rid of them within PT by making the vertical view less than 180, but it is easier to crop later than to get it just right within PT.

If you want the full 360x180 view, shoot two more frames: one straight up and one straight down. Since those views of thesky/pavement, there is (in general) no critical content there so hand-held should be good enough with some judicious selection of the stitching lines.
