Default XP and Panos

Hello,
I built panos for my real estate Web site (www.philby.com). I either stitched multipule photos or used Ipix software. I used Java viewers because it required no downloads for people to view the panos. I have discontinued the use of panos at my site. I understand that Windows XP comes not bundled with Virtual Java machine. People with XP that want to view the panos will have to download a Java plugin before they can do so. Is there any method that is available to all browsers that lets the pano scroll through the frame without downloading a plugin?

Thank you,
Philby

You'll have hard time to do it witout plugin.
You can java applets, flash presentation, a quick time VR movie (all of them requires a plug-in).
For your particular activity, I would recommand VR movies, as you can, with a few programmation on your side, create real virtual visites of houses, going fron one room to an other. Flash will also do the job, but may be harder to learn.

To do without plugins, and for simple panoramas, you can try to scroll your pano through an iframe using DHTML / Javascript code. This code may not be that difficult to do, it's just moving a picture from one side to an other at the frame rate / deplacement speed you want, using the iframe as a window in order to display only a part of you pano.
The think that may ask processing power on the user side, and this will not be compatible with earlier versions of browsers.
