I'm eyeing fisheye lenses as my next purchase. Seeing as it could be mounted with an M42 mount, I'm wondering if anyone used this lens with their Pentax camera. I'm trying to find affordable fisheye lenses, and this one seems to give the best effect since it's very wide (which helps considering the 1.5X multiplication factor), but I have never heard of this brand before. What is your opinion of this lens? Are there any fisheye or ultrawide lenses around this focal length and the price range (around $229 on eBay)?

The Peleng 8mm generates a circular fisheye on film while the Zenitar 16m fisheye is a full frame fisheye effect.

I have thought about the Pelegs effect on a cropped sensor although that would yield something around the order of 12mm. But comeing from a circular fisheye, you will get a bit of vignetting still.

Heres a great lens review : http://www.jarnell.com/reviews/peleng/

I think the Oly 4/3 people should be at atleast somewhat interested. A change fore an equivalent 16mm f3.5 prime.
