Price range and options are important considerations here.

There are alot of great new AF Pentax and Sigma lenses out there, but they cost almost as much as (or more than) the camera body.

If you're on a budget, you can find alot of high quality, used Pentax glass on eBay for much less. The Pentax-A line from the '80's was great. I've got about 5 of 'em. AE, but not AF. So, other than being manual focus, they take advantage of all the AE features on the K10D.
