As some call it the Goriila lens. Originally made for medium format cameras, this lens has been produced from 1971-1990. Made in East Germany it changed names to Pentacon in the early 80's or so. Very heavy lens...Let me repeat that a Very Heavy Lens. 217mm long with the lens shade in place and weighs in at 2180grams...or nearly nearly 18 inches long and nearly 5 pounds. Very smooth focus and aperture rings. Fine focusing makes it a slow focuser but a precision one too. Aperture ring has no detents in it so there are an infinite number of aperture positions possible. Near perfect circle is formed in the center of the Iris. This is possible from the high number of aperture blades...A LOT OF BLADES. A true marvel of machine work that is a very great pleasure to see and use,
