Default Lens Test At 500mm

Not scientific, just something to help me compare the new Pentax 1.7x Adapter with other ways to get to 500mm. Test compares Sigma 150 500mm, Pentax DA*300mm croped, DA* 300mm with Promaster 1.7x TC, DA* 300mm with Pentax 1.7x Adapter. Used K7 jpeg, ISO 200, on tripod, 2 sec. delay with mirror lock up, all set to f7.1. The sign was about 300 ft (95 meters) away under an overhang. All photos are 100% crops except the DA* 300 mm which is greater then 100% crop to bring to same size. I really like the DA* 300mm / Pentax 1.7x Adapter for hand holding, much lighter then the Sigma 150 500mm.

1 - Sigma 150 500mm
2 - Pentax DA* 300mm
3 - Pentax DA* 300mm / Promaster 1.7 TC
4 - Pentax DA* 300mm / Pentax 1.7x Adapter
