i'd order that set as well if i didn't already have 2 ballheds and a pan/tilt.

how do you like the grip ballhead?? i've heard they look neat but are not that good in actual practise.

Well, they arrived, I have the tilt pan head mounted on the Dynatran tripod, the quick grip Dynatranon my cheap Vanguard monopod and the new ball head is in the drawer for now. They are decent quality and should serve me well. Now I need the 1/4" to 3/8" adapter so I can put the larger new ball head on my little Slik tripod (the head mount on this one is 1/4"), then all of my mounts will have the same base plate for the quick release.

Well, I followed one of the links above and ran across an Ebay auction for a AT 150A Lightweight Tripod by DynaTran™ no bidders - bid 35 cents (it had a $14 shipping fee), fully expecting that I would be out bid, and I won.

So my first acquisition for $14.35 for a K100D - wanted something small and light - figured for the price, I could not go wrong.
for $14 you probably got a good deal. my prob with it is it's only 50'' tall.. did it come woth a head?? if so , you got a great deal.
