Being bored with no wildflowers to take pictures of, I decided to try my hand at Aspen leaves. For the next couple of weeks they are changing color and then there gone until nice fresh green ones take there place next Spring. Like all leaves they have a lot of intricate detail not seenby a casual look from a distance.

I wanted to try something new, so I set the camera to ***jpeg and used a monopod for all the pictures. I usually shoot hand held in raw. I used my 28mm super takumar and these were shot at F3.5 to try and blur out the back ground interference. A faster lens would help, but this is what I had on the camera Saturday. I would of liked to try this same type picture with a 50mm F1.4 or F1.7. I kind of like the jpeg results and like the firstleaf the best. Next time I'll try it with my macro lens or a #3 close-up on the 28mm and who knows, their may bea fast 50 in my future too- Bruce
