hopefully i will not get flammed for this one but I see on Ebay a bunch of "fisheye" adapter type lenses i know they are not going to be as good as an actual fisheye lens but $35. is it just throwing money away?

I bought one of those a few years ago for my Nikon 990 and it worked surprisingly well considering. I would expect that on a DSLR the lens would show its low image quality fairly fast with a larger sensor.
