I've been reading a lot latelyon the Strobist blog athttp://strobist.blogspot.com/and I'm trying to figure out what I need to use my Sigma flash (not the super) off camera with my *istDL.

I think I need a Safe Sync adapter to protect the camera. The Safe Sync also provides a PC connection so I can try to pick up a cheap (cheaper than a new Sigma anyway) second hot shoe flash for secondary flashand off camera work.

Has anyone else out there played with off camera flash with the current round of Pentaxes without a PC cord conection? What is required to do it safely? Can I do TTL metering, off camera? Should I want to?

Also, does anyone out there have any experience or suggestions for a wireless slave system that won't cost me the same as my camera? There are a number of these on eBay, for a price cheap enough to try (under $20.00 US it looks) but I like hedging my bets.

Sorry I missed getting a fall leaf picture in for the Oct assignment. I'm waiting on the next one.
