The 4th one definitely looks like its caused by metering off of the dark jacket or the dark horse. You can try matrix metering and see if that will help. Or the other way is to leave it on spot metering, point it at a mid-value spot (or whatever you want to use to expose to), press the AEL button, reframe and shoot. It sounds more complicated than it is. I use this often when I'm taking pictures of sunsets and sunrises - I meter from the brightest part of the sky and let what little ground I'll put in to fall into silouette.
