Thanks for all the great suggestions everyone! Photoshop may be an extremely complex program, but there seems to be anincredible amount of resources available to help figure it out. I'm looking forward to playing with it. I'll be happy if I can open a photo and get rid of "red eye" or edit out an unwanted item in the photo without having to read 3 chapters in 2 different books, watch an online tutorial and take a class! :?

what about going to the library or book store and read a book/tutorial?
Also in some photo/camera related journals you'll find plenty of tutorials more in the style of "how to paint a blue sky" / "how to remove unwanted parts of a photo" / "how to do the white balance after taking the photo" etc. So by browsing these journals you can get a lot of nice hands-on mini-workshops that will let you produce some nice results fast ![]() Just an idea |
