Field trip for photography class I'm taking at the local college

All shot in jpeg with no post processing of any kind.

The use of DOF in nr 4 makes it imho the winner, followed closely by nr 3,
nr 1 seems a bit overexposed, nr 2 misses some contrast.

Hey Eddy,

I guess I am going to disagree with Ronny. I think #4 could benefit from greater depth of field to bring more of the palmetto frond into focus. I like #5, #2, and #3. #2 looks like a very interesting flower, if your lens permits, a closer focus could be very interesting. #3, well, I just have a soft spot for close focus/macro shots of bugs and flowers . #5 is the best shot IMO. I might have focused more towards the front of the frame rather than the center, but that is a perfect opportunity to take multiple shots and make different focus choices and see which you like best.

Congratulations on getting into a class, I wish I could find a similar opportunity.
