I offered to take my son up to London last night - he was going to a gig - with the intention of me getting a few night shots. However, I ended up in such a bad mood after the slowest journey ever into London, plus traffic at a standstill in London (not that unusual but this went on for hours - OK many, many minutes), plus buses blocking roads, plus "No Right Turns" when I needed to turn right, etc

So in the end I didn't take any of the west end, just a few from Westminster Bridge.

Here are the best (and I might be picky but I think they could all be improved; perhaps once I've had a go at the RAW files, these are all JPGs more or less straight from the camera)

The first probably needs no introduction:

The next is one of my favourite buildings in London, the Oxo Building:

Next we have the mother of parliaments:

Finally a wider angle taking in the Thames with Parliament on the right, The London Eye in the centre and the Royal Festival Hall on the left.

I really like them all, but I think Parliment would be the best if you could have moved around and gotten the bridge to the side of one of the buildings. The boat and wheel is really nice, too. The colors and exposure really give the sense of being there. Thanks for posting.

Nightime city shots are something I have not tried but I think you did very well. I would love to see shots of London in the daytime too.

Really enjoyed your stroll in the dark - what a fun place to practice night lights. The last one is my favorite.
