In addition to being time consuming, I would have expected that using 5 programs on one image would have ultimimately degraded that image, but the otter shot is great. Do whatever works best for you - the results speak for themselves.

I used to use CS2 exclusively until I tried Lightroom. There are a number of controls in it that I prefer, so I do most of my processing in that, then save as a tiff (I shoot raw). If I'm going to be posting the picture somewhere I'll ask LR to open the tiff file in CS2 as it exports, then resize it there and save as a jpg.

When I had the Panny I paid for the pro version of Neat Image, and it works as a plug-in with CS2, so I don't have to use a separate program and save the file in another intermediate step.
