After Thanksgiving dinner this afternoon, I was fortunate enough to go out for a drive to a small man-made lake in north central Arkansas that has become the winter home for a hundred or more Trumpeter Swans. The first trio of swans arrived for the season late this morning, but they stayed on the other side of the lake....giving me only a few decent long-range crop shots.

Later, I ditched my wife and mother and went back. Another four swans had arrived, and they'd come over to check out the people. These were late afternoon shots with the Tamron 70-300...ISO 100...lightin was inconsistent
