Happy that your lunch turned out to be birdie time. Even though they are common in CA, it is still a miracle that they are so close to human and right in the middle of a city. Great shots. It was a definitely a bright days as it was in the middle of bushes and you could still use iso 100. The lens wide open at F4 definitely helps. Brilliant set up.

Hi Harriet,
I thought you would have carried a short lens in your bag rather than the Viv 105 as the 50-135 had that covered.

Very nice shots Harriet, nicely done through all those branches. I fairly regularly forget to change focal length for SR when I use a MF lens but I had not felt it made much difference. I will watch more carefully in the future and see if my keeper percentage goes down when I do that.
