Makes sense I suppose, but surely it could still trigger the flash in manual mode....

Usually when you have a K mount non A lens (the type where you have to manually set the aperture) the camera will not know the aperture and will fire the flash at FULL Power.

It would be a nice firmware update that allows where the camera does not know the aperture to simply fire the flash in trigger only mode and allow the photographer to adjust/control the slave flash using manual mode on the flash.

Now!...... there's full backwards compatibility
