Neither one of us has ever peered through the viewfinder of a K10 or K20, so we don't know what we're missing, but neither of us has ever been unhappy with the viewfinder of the K100 and K200.
Since the K200 has most of the functionality of the K100, you are not missing much, plus the fact that the holdover modes from the K100 may make it easier to use and less confusing if you swap cameras with your wife for any reason. The most significant difference between the two cameras as I see it is the CMOS sensor of the K20, balanced against the ease of use of the K200. The fact that the K100 and K200 take the same batteries also may simplify things a bit in the management department.
