Thank you everyone for clearing this up. Way back in the 80s I was in Thailand and saw some of these guys, or at least some of their kin, flying around bushes later in the evening. Tried to get some shots of them on film, and did, but at the time had no internet to help me figure out what they were. They were a little bigger than the one in this picture, and I thought they really were humming birds. However the encyclopediasaid that hummingbirds don't live in Asia. Now at last I know what they are!

It's amazing how you can now see something new to you, post a pic, and with a little help find all the info you ever wanted to know about your new discovery.
