good day to you all, i am once agaig in need of your assistance.
with one battery in camera and one in the grip, and menu set at grip first.
I assume the power would be drained from the battery in the grip first,
1- is the power then transfered automatically to the battery in the camera after the grip battery is exhausted ?
2- do you get some kind of notice or warning signal that the power is now coming from the camera battery?
3- do you only find out when both batteries are dead ?

Not sure how it works in the K10D...but in the K20D, you can select how you want the batteries to be used, i.e. grip first, body first, or auto select.Use the set-up menu to access this feature. While I have not experienced it as yet, when the battery in use is exhausted, all you need to do is to turn the power off and on again and it will switch to the second battery. At any time you can confirm battery power by pushing the info button and scrolling down to the second screen.

My K10D works just the way jelpee says except to check the indicators for both batteries, I go into the set up menu.
