Sensational, sunny day today, so it was back to the botanical garden. I even got Brenda to grab the K10 with the Tamron 70-300.

I focused primarily today on very close shots. The 1:4 macro ratio hardly qualifies this lens as a macro, but it does a relatively nice job. This is a 100% crop of a small bee I caught on a petal.

To give you an idea of how small he was, here is he with the pistil in the background

Others from the day

Very nice shots! I'm impressed. Spring has taken a step backward - I'm watching the snow fall outside today. Decided that the wind and rain meant that it wouldn't be good shooting at the poppy reserve. Hopefully the blooms will last until I can get over there in 2 weeks.

I like them all Paul but in particular the full bloom or full flower. Looking deep into the guts just doesn't do it for me. A very good 1:4 lens there. Very good resolution.

Nice ones, Paul. The closest I'm getting to tulips right now is the ones I bought at the grocery store on Saturday. Still waiting for them to open up.
