With the children running around there I am afraid identifying the site with a sign would indanger the nest more. From the closest walkway I can not see the Killdeer on the nest even though I know where it is. I will try to talk with the city crew that works there about trying to avoid the area with their equipment.

Hi Ed,

A very nice find and great series!

I've occasionally found Killdeer around here, have seen the "injured wing" act once, but have never found a nest. . . but I keep trying. . .:roll:

Now, at least, I know what to look for.
