Default Tom Dick and Harry Hike

Here are a few photos from a recent hike to the top of Tom Dick and Harry mountain in the Mt. Hood wilderness area. There were great views of Mt. Hood from the trail along with plenty of wild flowers. The view from the top was spectacular, It was a clear day and I could see 5 mountains (Hood, Rainier, Adams, St. Helens, and Jefferson) and Mirror Lake below. On top of the trail they were clear as day, on the panoramic below you would have to zoom in a bit. All photos were taken with my K10d and either a Tamron 18-250 or a Sigma 10-20.

Panoramic view from the top

1/250 sec. f/6.3 iso 100 250mm

1/250 sec iso 100 18mm f/8 - Trail view

1/125 sec iso 100 18mm f/8.0 - Beargrass and Mt. Hood

Lovely pictures, nice series and I sure would like to visit. Is there really a mountain that's named Tom Dick and Harry? Priceless!

Great series. The last one is my favorite.

Mt hood has a special meaning to me for as a boy growing up in Boston I lived on Mt. Hood Road for the first 15 years of my life.
