Default My first wedding

My brother recently got married and asked me to do the photography.
I was a bit worried as this would be only the second wedding I'd have attended, and the last being when I was a child.
I of course agreed to do it, but I was kinda scared about screwing up and not getting any decent photos.

The wedding was in the afternoon in the middle of winter, albeit an Australian winter, and the forecast was for rain - none of which filled me with confidence.

Luckily the forecast was completely wrong as it didn't rain at all and there was still plenty of light after the ceremony.
I used my old ist DL with my A50mm f1.4 and M28mm f3.5

I was quite happy with the photos in the end and more importantly so were my brother and his wife.

The wedding cake / cupcakes

And finally a little animation I made with all the guests at the wedding (excluding myself )

Not surprising the happy couple were pleased

The last one is hugely entertaining - I have just spent about 5 mins just watching it

Very nice job. And, I love the last effect.

That little church is quite lovely. Perfect place for a wedding.

Nice compositions and very natural looking lighting! The one of the cake is especially nice! Did you use any kind of difuser on your flash?

Very nice job. I've never shot a wedding, and I hope to keep it that way. I would be a nervous wreck! You have good reason to be proud. And like everyone else, I love the animation of the last shot!

Very nicely done - the animation is cute. From a contextual point of view - I notice in the first one the bridesmaids are not paying attention to the bride and groom, they seem to be more interested in the audience. Otherwise, I like your pictures. Like mtnman, I hope to never shoot a wedding also. In fact, I hate photographing office parties etc. so it's easy to impress me.
