Thanks for the link, Penolta. My internet connection isn't the fastest, so I'll probably try downloading the trial version of Topaz this weekend. I made the mistake of buying Noise Ninja first, right after I got a mac, rather than using the trial version first and discovered too late that I would have been happier just buying a mac license for Neat Image (which I had always used before).

these are all great phorto and good choices of subjects
it was a good choice of lens
i like the depth of field you used and the angles you got

i recently went to one over here, it was more a model making exhibition, with lots of different subjects
i tried the fisheye but it was way to wide
my old 50mm f1.7 worked well in the low light, but was to close for most shots, ok for shots of details (and some models are really detailed)
i ended up using my old sigma 18-50, i could of done with a bit better lens
I dont know how your show was set up but i had lots of problems with lighting, mixed light, direct sunlight, dark areas
some guys were wandering around with tripods (dangerous i thought lol)

if you want to have a look at my attempts they are here
i would put them up in the forum but i cant seem to link to them at work and my isp at home is giving my all kinds of strife

hmm the text went green

Not much I can add Scott, those are some great photos. I will keep my eyes open for similar shows around here. It looks like you are finally ready to graduate from birds to the bees!

Fun to see something so different from you, Scott (originally wrote Pen, blaim the jet-lag!). Still-life, wide, close! Thanks also for (as always) explaining things in detail (pun not very intended, but maybe appropriate).
