Default Response

i've received many an email and PMs for quite some time asking me where I've been,etc..
i got sick in Aug'07 and just didn't get better. so far this year i haven't had a good meal. i've had oral probs. the 1st op was to remove my teeth and abrade the jawbone so it will heal completely over the bone, nope..
2 more OPs didn't work either..
i've also developed a penchant for fainting (no,,i don't drive much anymore)
10-11 times on a day last week.. i'm here daily but every time i try to help the question an answer has already been posted.. and i thought this forum would never make it..
there's more to this and i'll try to post again..

I thought I was in bad health. But at least I am recovering slow but surely.
Wish you all the best. Weather in the south during wintry months helps.

Roy, my friend, you have been missed. I'm sorry to hear about your health problems, and I hope you're on the road to recovery. The advice you've given has been a godsend particularly for those new to the DSLR world. I hope to see you back posting regularly, but even more than that, I hope you soon feel well enough to get out with your camera and enjoy it.

I remember you posting a while back that there were some health issues, but not that bad. I'm so sorry that you are having such problems - they sound pretty devastating. Know that my thoughts are with you, you've been an outstanding teacher over the past several years. It's not all that long ago that you patiently went through the procedure of using a manual lens for me, even before I had bought the DS. And while I still appreciate your advice about just buying another Kiron 80-200 lens on ebay, I still have the old one and still haven't gotten it fixed.

Hope those pups of yours are still a comfort for you. Give them a pat from a fan in California, and get back on your feet soon!

Roy - so sorry to hear of your health problems. They do call it the "practice" of medicine, but don't you wish they would "practice" on someone else!!
Know that you in my prayers for proper treatment and much recovery.

Include me among those who are appreciative for Roy's patient advice and sound teaching. In fact, I have two stellar lens which Roy put in tip-top condition. And, Roy, you know this old retired clergy keeps you in his prayers.
