Having 3 granddaughters I know about not telling them how to wear their hair.

Why not just photograph her from the other side? That way both her eyes would be exposed.

Lovely photos! Shadows don't bother me in these - looks like some fine work on a fine-looking young'un.
Having raised 6 past the teen years, I would definitely agree not to sweat the small stuff like hairstyle.
