Gorgeous close-up of the damselfly, I spotted one the other day during lunch, but he was "on a mission" as they say, and zoomed off over a bush just as I noticed him.

concerning this damselfly I was just lucky that it stayed put long enough to get the shot.

Superb technique, Ronny, and nice choice of subjects. Thanks for the Scorpionfly - I haven't seen one in years, but it is one of the most recognizable of insects (at least the male is!).

andrena carantonica (didn't find an English name)
In English, the Andrenid bees are collectively known as MIning Bees, due to their habit of making burrows in the soil.

All I can say is that these are brilliant. I wondered if you had that extra detail that you showed in the crop - from the looks of them I was pretty sure you had captured the divisions like that. I've only managed one insect shot with that type of detail in it, I'm awed.
