Pentax Adds Four More Color Choices for the K-x

That's right, they've added 4 new colors. This puts the total up to 12!

i kind of like the vanilla-latte colored one as well, i dont remember seeing that one on the initial japan release.

I'm a big OD (Olive Drab) fan, it's actually my favorite color. When I saw the release, I actually thought about picking one of the Olive Green ones up just because of the color.

I've been wanting one of the white storm trooper ones, but now I'd want one of the olive drab ones. It's close enough to camo for me. I had actually thought about the bright green one when it came out - it would just about perfectly match my Jeep. Then I decided that matching my camera to my car wasn't the best reason for buying a new camera.

I'd want to see the cafe-latte one in person, I've looked at it on 2 different monitors and the first time I said "yuck!" but now I think it's not bad. I'd still want the olive drab one, regardless.

Maybe they'll come out with a K7 replacement camera in olive drab - then I can use the color as an excuse for buying a camera I'm sure I will want but certainly don't need.

I can see the hot pink selling well initially, but it's not something I would want. Too shocking for my system and I don't see it having the staying power that some of the other colors have.

I'm buying a white one from Adorama with the 50-200 kit. Has anybody ever bought from Adorama? I'm getting $150 off the kit because there is a promotion with pentax and adorama that if you send in an old digital camera, you get $50 off the lens and $100 off the camera. I found out about this through one of the forums on here. This promotion ends on the 15th, so I have to get the old camera sent out ASAP. They said they would still give me the deal even if it arrives a little late. This will be our first dslr camera. I was just wondering if anybody has dealt with Adorama over the phone or sent used equipment before. I'm hoping they will stick with the deal, they said they would.

"Storm Trooper White"? ROTFLOL! I can just imagine what names people will conjure up for the candy-colored ones. Other than black and white and possibly orange, I'd have a hard time considering anyone carrying one of these as a serious photographer - certainly they might be popular with the teen crowd. And I can just see some little tyke picking one up and throwing it on the floor thinking it a plastic toy, or even chewing on the Chocolate one! Orange is close enough to International Orange that I can see if useful to firefighters or Coast Guardsmen, or anywhere high visibility is required to find one quickly. But People-eater Purple, or Shrek Green? Market-wise you can't argue with success, but what about the company's image? I just can't see it.

But then, I did buy one of those cool green w90's . . . .
