Kevin thanks for the explanation. When I think back it was always when we were at important tourist sites that this happened. The most frequent occurrence was at the great wall.

Fascinating cultural information, and a lovely photograph. As you said, something very different, but it sure works for me! Really captures the emotion of the moment.
