All good, but I like the second and third Screech Owls best. The second because of the slight turn of the body and neck, and the third because the owl is looking beyond the camera - I never prefer human portraits in which the eyes are looking right into the camera, and I guess owls, with their frontal eye position, are much the same! A 70m lens was considered the ideal portrait lens on a full frame 35mm film camera, so a 50mm lens equates to nearly that (75mm) on an APSC camera, and that is a good use for it.

Have also used the "new" lens on some real people, but don't like posting people pics without the subject's express permission. Besides, I do a lot better with critters than with humans!
Silly me - of course they're real people! Actually, I'm the same as you, I'd be rather nervous about posting anyone's image. Anyway, your little friends do more justice to the lens's sharpness...

No it does no effect auto focus lenses on the Km but it might effect focus point id in the finder on other cameras
