it looks like a completely different season in those first photos. i was surprised to see the ice too! i love the waterfalls framed by ice.

Hans - Thanks so much for your very kind words. I am indeed blessed to live in a very scenic region.

MtnMan - Indeed many of these mt streams are great for a summer wade or swim, but just a little chilly these days. Hope you are surviving winter - we are expecting sunny and high in the lower 60's today!

Harriet - Glad you enjoyed them - it is a lovely wild place, and well-protected by the federal Wilderness designation.

Vole - Amazing what a difference a bit of elevation and some deep shade can make! Glad you liked the ice-framed waterfalls - I've been struggling with the proper exposure on these, and think these came out close to what I'd like. Will continue experimenting as weather permits...
