Default Rookery Islands Of Wakodahatchee

Of the wetlands I visit Wakodahatchee is the smallest. It has the most nesting birds due to Mangrove Islands that make excellent rookeries. There are five of these islands close enough to photograph. Most have nesting Great Blue Herons, Anhingas, and great Egrets. Some have mixed in Cormorants, Cattle Egrets, Snowy Egrets, and Green Herons. My lens was not dirty or out of focus, we had fog there on friday morning. Photo #2 shows two islands, one behind and right of the other. Island in photo #5 is not safe for nesting.

Wow, very nice photos Ed. You are very fortunate to have such wonderful areas to photograph such exotic birds. And I have no doubt you have to work very hard to get such great shots.
