Default Sometimes ...

... a photo turns out a lot better than expected.

Gosh, this is my first post of the year. Can only blame my usual uselessness (plus being overworked - waits for sympathy).
Also not really been anywhere with my camera. However, a week or so ago I took the opportunity of a sunny evening to take a walk on Blackpool beach and took a few photos. Walked under one of the piers and thought "Ooh, that looks like a good photo" so I took a few shots with different settings. Checked them out on the LCD and decided they were all rubbish. However, when I got around to looking at them on the PC, one of them was actually not bad.
And here it is:

I like that one very much. Not bad at all!

I know what you mean about being overworked and not taking the time to do anything. I've been feeling the same way, it's sometimes easier to spend my lunch hour working (or hanging around the office) than taking a walk and finding something to photograph. I've been making a point the last few days to correct that situation.
