Great-looking dog, and great capture of his expression. Agree that it looks a little soft, but wonder if softness is always a defect... In this case, it might add to the "dogginess" of the pet portrait - maybe?

PS - another vote for Irfanview as an easy software for resizing your photos. Be sure to check the "apply sharpen after resample," and check "resample" rather than "resize." Another nice thing about Irfanview - it can use most photoshop plug-ins, and it can be used to make self-showing slides shows too.

You may want to try this software. It's free and it's cross platform with versions available for Windows, Linux, and OS X (Intel). It has nice resizing algorithms and lets you select one or more images for resizing via a very simple user interface. Just make sure to select a different destination folder for saving your resized images to, so that you're not overwriting your originals with them.
