Default I know I know you get what you pay for but

anyone use this Chinese knockoff the the 5K grip? so cheap I could get it now otherwise Id have to wait a bit to get the grip (been on a bit of a buying spree of late).

I got myself I think the same ...


from ebay but at GBP 41,95 , including 2 batteries, and haven't had any problems with it.
I do have to say that I don't use the grip much.

I purchased one over a year ago. Several are available, some have plastic tabs, mine has metal like the one pictured in the link you posted. I use mine every time I am using telephoto lenses (80% of the time) and have had no problems. I do not feel the need for the extra grip room, as many do, since my main grip is on the lens with my left hand. It alows you to hold the camera much steadier for vertical photos with the shutter release easier to reach.

I have the same grip, like Ronny I bought it with 2 batteries, and the batteries actually last longer than the official Pentax batteries. No problem with the grip other than the paper-thin tabs for removing the battery tray and the silk screening is wearing off.
