Default A post from an absent returnee

Just wanted to stick my nose in and let everyone know I am still here, just not clicking my shutter as often as I once did for a few reasons..... new schedule at school,, moving several college concurrent credit courses to my plate, some health problems (heart and arteries ... controlled, no real worries), but most importantly, a focus on Hawaii, where I have a brand new grandchild (my first) .... My wife is there now, and I would love to be clicking about a thousand shots a day to share (Aren't you glad I'm in Arkansas?) I hope to get active again in the coming months as temps go down and I get adjusted to the changes.

Hi Paul,

Good to see you back! I had been wondering, and it's good to hear that things are well with you. Congrats on the grandchild! Too bad so far away, but an excuse to head off to Hawaii can't be a bad thing!

The summer's been brutal for me, and I've only had a few opportunities to shoot, so haven't posted much here for quite a while, so I know where you're coming from.

Looking forward to seeing some posts from you!

Congrats on the grandchild, and no I'm not happier with you in AR instead of HI. I love pics of babies, they are always so cute! Glad to hear your health issues are manageable and while I sometimes resent work getting in the way of my hobby, I understand it (haven't been shooting as much as I used to either, and most of it is either rubbish or else textures and while I think they are cool, no one else probably would).

Our summer hasn't been brutal like yours, for the most part it's been quite mild. The real hot stuff is just starting now, though, so I may change my tune quickly (this week has been pretty miserable).

It's always good to hear from you, hope you'll take something worth posting soon.

I also have been wondering where you have been Paul. It's great to see you back. Congrats on the new grandchild -- what a great excuse to see Hawaii. I know all too well about the problem of work getting in the way of a hobby.

I hope you'll find time to take a few local photos, and before too long, I hope you'll get to Hawaii so we can all ooh and aah over the new member of your family.

Another heartfelt congratulations on the new little'un. They sure are fun, aren't they!

Will look forward to seeing more of your great photos as your time permits, and will be praying that your health situation continues to improve.

Thanks all! I may ask your indulgence at some point to post a photo of the most beautiful grandchild in history, even if her pic wasn't taken with a Pentax.....

Congratulations on the first grandchild! They really are wonderful, aren't they? I have a 5 year old grandson (only grandchild) who lives in WA and I am in VA, but I got to spend 7 months with him last year and 3 months this year (retirement is great ). Hope you get to Hawaii soon so you can enjoy her.
