Default Washington DC

We went to Washington DC to see the new Martin Luther King Mamorial. We walked through Chinatown where we ate lunch at an Irish Pub. I captured the Jefferson and Washington Memorials from the King site.

Nice set Ed...I've visited 3 times and enjoyed each one. Lot's of historical and famous sights to capture along the way. Never made it to China Town though...should put it on the itineary for next time.

Very nice photos Ed. I haven't been to DC in more than 20 years, so there are quite a few monuments I haven't yet seen. I hope i can go there before long.

I think the last time I was in DC was in the 70's, it looks like lots has changed since then. Also I know I'm a completely different person with different interests so I'd love to go again - it would be a completely different experience.

The shot of the capital is great I like how you got the shot just as a fire truck was passing through the frame adds a different element to the shot. The one of I think its the Jefferson Memorial (last picture) is distracting to me because of how you shot through the leaves of the tree and the bluing of the leaves in the foreground takes away from the shot. I would have tried to move forward or zoomed a little more to avoid the leaves being in the picture.

Great series of shots. Thanks for sharing.

I can't find the Irish Pub shot .. was it the last one ?

That old 24-90 is producing some very sharp shots there. Very nice set of buildings/statues I've never seen before.

Nicely done, Ed. I really want to get into DC to see the MLK memorial. A couple of years ago, I worked about a block from the Irish pub you mentioned. Really enjoyed that part of town. Glad you guys enjoyed your trip to this area.

Nice. I really like the first one of Chinatown. Looks much better on the computer than on my phone!

I agree about the last one. The leaves are too distracting to me. But, other than that I like the angle it was taken at.
