Default Ot: Q observations and pics

Hi all,

I've posted a long, rambling post with observations and pics from my three weeks with a Q so far in the Q forum on this site -- for anyone who might be interested.

I just received a setup to use my K mount lenses with the Q, and since that was what I primarily wanted the little camera for, I waited until I was able to get a few shots with at least one K lens before I posted anything extensive.

I have read a few Q professional reviews and think that some of the reviewers were too caught up in comparing it to other mirrorless cameras to even start thinking about the outside the box potential that the Q has uniquely over the others.

Sorry for going OT, but I figured you guys would cut me a break since I'm primarily a Pentax DSLR user.

Thanks for the heads-up, I'll go read your review. While I have no plans for getting one anytime soon, I've been rather intrigued by it. Perhaps I'll look at one in a year or its follow-on the following year.

So glad you are enjoying this great little camera. Can't wait to see photos taken with the Q using 300mm plus 1.4 TC! (I'm lost in the math - what would be the 35mm FOV equivalent of that combination?)

Or maybe you should borrow my 135-600mm to test on the Q!!

I'm interested in seeing more of the potential for macro with that crazy crop factor. Great write up!
