This months challenge is very simple. Take a photo of your Favorite Thing/Things. Remember this challenge is rated G!!
As always your photo must be taken within the last 3 months with a Pentax or Samsung D-SLRs.Here's a twist for this month only. If you purchased the new Pentax K-01 with the new 40mm pancake lens. Show proof of purchase, full EXIF information, and nobody else in the DSLR forum minds. You may post a photo for this challenge. You will be disqualified, but at lease we get to see some real sample photos from a forum member

LOL!
I think of the new K-01 in the same category as the dSLR cameras - after all, it has the same sensor as the K5 and uses the same lenses. Don't know how others feel about it, and yes, I do admit that by definition a mirrorless can't be considered an SLR. On the other hand, just because a Samsung dSLR has "Samsung" on the front doesn't mean that it's not still a Pentax, so why not? Only problem with this month's topic is trying to decide what my favorite thing(s) are. Or maybe not, I'll have to think about this some more. |

Moving foreword, I agree an addendum should be added to include Pentax K mount MILC's to the monthly challenge.

Stevie - Congratulations on a very well-deserved win for January - I've been away at some other parks and not able to vote, but would have voted for yours too!
An interesting challenge for this month. Most of my favorite "things" are not things but people, and people who would rather not see their faces posted in a public forum... Will have to do some thinking about this... |

Oooh, very nice! I think I'm going to have to change my favorite thing subject, I meant to take pictures of it this evening during the golden hour but forgot about it. It's now too late and I won't have another chance before the end of the month. Back to the drawing board...
