I didn't realize i had more response to this post

Thank you all for your opinions. I like getting information from you all as I have seen your work and you are really accomplished at this form of art. (for lack of a better description). Anyway you are right I have not mastered the K-x, and I do have a deep learning curve to climb. I hope that my asking questions will help me understand the technical parts better. I am not a spring chicken nor am I so old that I don't remember my name. But I am not as steady as I use to be and that can be frustrating looking through the camera and not being able to stop the movement enough. I also seem to take most of my shots indoors, so low light is a fact of life for me. Even our sunny days usually involve a lot of cloud cover. In the area I live we have on average 32 full Sunny days a year. (That is days of full sun no clouds). So I seem not to be able to get the shutter speeds and the low ISO for sharper shots. I know I should use the flash more, and I have in a pinch used a external flash and bounced the light with good results. I just do not like using it if I don't have to. I have to be honest and say sometimes it easier to learn with better equipment. I'm pretty cheap and have a hard to justifying purchases. That is why I bought the K-x for one it was cheaper and 2, I wasn't sure I wanted to move in the direction of a DSLR versus Point and shoot. It gave me somewhere to start. I do like point and shoots for taking snap shots, as I can put it in my pocket and if I need it it is there. ( Boy I'm starting to talk myself out of it again) I have an investment in some lenses now, and it seems the K-5 is a superior body to the K-x. The view finder is supposedly bigger and brighter. ISO range is better. (Better in low light) I guess If I bought the K-5 at this point I would probably not buy another body for a very long time.

Thanks for listening (now I confused myself some more)
