Following on from (or actually prior to !) the recent bird threads I've posted from WuYuan I thought I'd just show you the drive down there.
Most were taken through the windscreen (at speed !) though there are two where I was so enchanted by the beauty around me I stopped to take a shot. Although these don't do the scenery justice perhaps they will at least give you a flavour and just maybe you can also get a sense of the building excitement within me as I entered this prime birding real estate ! The last shot is of my 4-wheeled love, after coming back from birding a paddy field, I just liked the way she looked through the trees. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

G'day ff
What a naughty boy you are shooting pix as you drive along - but I would too it I had half a chance :-) More seriously tho - thanks for sharing your beautiful countryside ... it seems to 'glow' with shape & form & colour > whereas Australia is pretty-flat overall, our 'mountains' area only 1500m above sea level I am most intreagued with #6 & #7 to see the beautiful terracing of the landscape for agricultural use - it makes it appear very alluring to my eye Regards, Phil

Beautiful countryside, a real eye opener, not your normal "Picture from China" we tend to see here. More your "National Geographic", lovely stuff.

Some lovely countryside there. I can see why you were taking them while driving. I've been known to do that at times. Sometimes you just can't pull over and stop.

Beautiful landscapes and I like your car. reminds me of driving around northern Italy minus the rice fields. Seems like you got a little blue cast in the first several images

Thanks for the views of a very different part of the world, and yet very reminiscent of East Tennessee hills!
Now put both your hands back on the steering wheel!! |

All the time I was in China we were in or near large cities and traffic was horrific. It is nice to see these beautiful roads with no cars on them. The scenery was splendid.
I like your ride as well. Lou |
