Haven't been on the forum for a long time. Sold my home in NH-NO MORE SNOW-retired and moved to sunny Arizona. Went to a balloon glow tonite-Ist DS, DA 16-45, manual focus, ISO 800-hand held.

Thanks for the kind comments-moved to Mesa, AZ-just east of Phoenix-my daughter lives in the area-maybe now I will have time to explore-Arizona seems like a photographer's dream. I realize the Ist DS doesn't have all the bells and whistles-but I know it pretty well-would take me a long time to learn a new camera. Rather buy a new lens once in a while.

Happy retirement have a ball. It's been almost 3 years for me, too many things to do and not enough time to do them all so start now.

Best wishes to you DMJJR. Guess we won't be meeting now even though we've lived in the same state for a while now. Enjoy Arizona. I have a friend who's brought back some wonderful photos from there.
Love your balloon glow shot. Patty |

Love your balloon picture! Congrats on the move! Arizona is such an interesting, beautiful state, with so much to explore in it. Bet it's a lot warmer there right now than about 120 miles north (as the crow flies, about 165 miles north by road).

Very neat shot. Congrats on your retirement and the move. We'll miss you here in New England, but we'll look forward to seeing your photos of another wonderful area.

Can't wait to get to Lower Antelope Canyon-if my shots come out half as good as yours I will be happy.
