Whilst I am not going to abandon this forum completely I am now unable to post new threads (of shots with Pentax products) since selling my second K5 a couple of weeks ago (though I have some unprocessed bird shots with the K5 & AFA x1.7 that will make an appearance one day !) to expand my Nikon kit.
I didn't want to just stop posting without saying something. Especially as I am off to NZ to visit my sister for 6 weeks soon and won't be on any forum for a while ! I enjoy the quality of the people on here, the friendly and informative threads and responses and the community as a whole. There are some very intelligent and some very talented photographers here and it has been my pleasure to have seen their work and read their opinions. I will pop in now and again to comment on some threads and maybe to vote in the monthly competitions. Take care and best regards to all ! Cheers Kevin

Kevin -
It's been great seeing your wonderful photos, and reading your wise comments & suggestions. You will be missed... Of course, you can still post on down at the Wildlife section of the forum... PS - Have a great time in NZ. (And when are you going to visit East Tennessee?) |

After seeing what you have replaced the Pentax gear with you are forgiven, that is a very impressive list and should prove a worthy successor. I don't think anyone would be too upset if you posted an occasional link to images taken with your new gear. Enjoy.

Thank you all my friends for your very kind comments. Yes Ira I will remember to post links !
Mole - I would love to visit your neck of the woods and meet/shoot with you. Sadly I fear that may never happen but if I am visiting the USA then I'll be sure to try a schedule a trip to Tennessee (and meet anyone else here living close to my destinations) ! My best regards to your wife too. NZ - I am sure I will Travis / Scott ! We leave in 3 days time so are very excited, hopefully I will be able to improve my landscape photography enough to not be embarrassed to post some links here ! You should see the filters I've bought (all in the largest, 82mm, size) and the amount of step down rings so they fit every lens I.m taking ! I'll have fun trying if nothing else ![]() I will be keeping 4 of my favourite Pentax lenses (15, 43, 77 and a Cosina 55/1.2) and when Pentax eventually bring out a FF I will be back in the fold ![]() Stay healthy and I hope you all have a wonderful Year of the Snake ! Xin Nian Kuai Le ! Gong Xi Fa Cai ! (Happy New Year and Wish you Prosper). Kevin
