Default Count your bluebird blessings

There's an old saying about counting your blessings when you spot a flock of bluebirds...

"One you'll have sadness..."

Six was all I saw that fine sunny day, but there is more to the blessings rhyme.

Some folks say you can count vultures instead, so...

"Seven's a secret that's never been told..."

"Eight a love letter with promises three..."

"Nine means your true love's as true as can be."

"So stop all your hurrying and worrying away
Take time for dreaming on a summer's day.
Wait for the bluebirds, and when they come along
Count your blessings with the bluebird song!"

PS - In case you are wondering why all those vultures were gathered - here are a few more shots of the crew...

And here is their "gold and silver" reward - a "tasty" roadkill raccoon...

Perhaps we each count our blessings in our own way...

Hope you liked the pretty little birds, the handsome big birds, and one more lovely scavenger - a late season fungus.

Thanks in advance for any comments & suggestions!
